This is based on the amount of crimping you perform as well as individual preference. Manual crimping tools are ideal for low volume crimping. Electronic battery and high-power crimpers are recommended for higher volume applications. Of course, high and low volume levels are subjective to the individual user. Electronic battery crimping tools can be used with aluminum or two-part aluminum/steel caps. A separate tool is required for each size and function needed. In contrast, the electronic high power crimping tool has interchangeable jaw sets for various sizes and functions that fit into one main unit. These tools are also strong enough to be used with all steel and magnetic caps.

No.
- For electronic crimpers: there are electronic parts that would not be compatible.
- For manual crimpers: The internal workings and the jaw sets of the crimpers are coated with grease for lubrication, and we cannot guarantee the quality of the product function if that grease were to be removed during the autoclave process.
